Fifth Sunday of Easter, May 7, 2023

Sooner or later in every person's life three questions surface. Who am I? What am I doing here? Where am I going? The way a person answers these questions will either bring peace and hope or disillusionment and despair.

A person without faith might answer the questions in the following ways.

1. Who am I? I am an accident of evolution.

2. What am I doing here? Maximizing pleasure, minimizing pain.

3. Where am I going? I am going out of existence.

A believer in Jesus Christ would answer the questions in the following ways.

1. Who am I? I am a beloved child of the Father.

2. What am I doing here? I am building the kingdom of God right here and right now.

3. Where am I going? I am on my way to heaven.

Our faith is good news to be shared with others.  Faith in Jesus Christ brings meaning and hope.  When we share our faith, helping others to find love in Jesus Christ.
