I have a reminder and a couple of updates this week.

Monday, May 30 is Memorial Day. Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 am only. And church will close immediately following the Mass.

Adoration and Evening Prayer will resume Tuesday, May 31st. Also, going forward, Confessions will now end at 4:45 pm.

Thank you for your generous support of last weekend’s Catholic Charities Appeal collection which raised $1,401.00! Additional contributions have been sent directly to the Archdiocese. I will inform you of those donations and report how close we came to reaching our goal of $21,739.00.

Finance Committee. One of the agenda items the members of the Finance Committee discussed at its meeting this past Tuesday was the application of donations designated for our debt reduction effort; we typically send funds to the Archdiocese in May. Since last May $96,000.00 was donated by an anonymous parishioner and $6,203.00 deposited in the donation boxes in the upper and lower churches. A total of $102,203.00 was sent to the Archdiocese reducing our debt from $796.036.00 to $693,833.00! Thanks to all who have contributed funds to this important cause.
