Next weekend, St. John’s will participate in the Annual Missionary Co-Op program. Sister Dorothy Fabritze of the Missionary Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus will speak after the homily at all the Masses.
The Missionary Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart, founded in 1900 with the distinct mis-sion to make God’s love known to all, is now present in 21 countries around the world. Internationally, their ministries include catechesis, nursing, teaching, evangelization, care of the Elderly, Campus Ministry, rescuing those involved in Human Trafficking and many other ministries in their effort to “Be the Heart of God on Earth.” An integral part of the MSC Sisters’ missionary vision is the mandate to empower local women to become qualified, skilled, spiritually courageous missionaries to their own people and then ultimately to reach out to he world with the message of God’s Love for all. Sister Mary Dorothy will speak about a new mission being taken on by their indigenous sisters in Namibia.
There will be a second collection in support of the missionary activity of the Missionary Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart.
Let us pray for all missionaries throughout the world so that their ministry to bring the faith and spread the Gospel message may be successful and fruitful.
