Memorial Mass for Brother James is Sunday, August 22nd at 10:30 am here at St. John’s.

Brother James was 89 years old (June 8, 1932 – August 1, 2021). The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, August 9th at 10:00 am in St. Augustine Church, Pittsburgh. A copy of Brother James obituary is in the back of the church and at the parish office.

TODAY, SUNDAY, AUGUST 15th the obligation to attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of obligation goes into effect per the Bishops of Pennsylvania. .

St. John’s LGBT Prayer Group.. St. John’s invites all LGBT members and their friends to a monthly prayer group meeting every 2nd Tuesday, 7:00 pm at the parish center. The meeting will consist of prayer, monthly discussion topics and a social. The prayer group is open to ALL members of the parish and their friends. Please do not forget St. John’s. It’s vacation time. If you are planning to be away from St. John’s, please remember to either mail in your weekly envelope or make up for the time you are away when you return. The bills still keep coming in. Thank you.
