From The Pastor's Desk

4 July, 2021

I have a variety of items to pass onto you this week.

As you are aware the July 4th holiday is being celebrated on Monday, July 5th. There is one Mass on the 5th at 9:00 am in the upper church.

I am happy to report that this week we paid $10,000.00 on the principal of our debt incurred for the repair of the church towers. Our new balance is $796,036.00. You might recall we needed to take out a loan from the Archdiocese in the amount of $1.2 million for the two repairs. Over the past five years, because of parishioner and visitor contributions we have been able to pay down our debt by nearly $500,000.00. Thanks to all who contributed in any way to this effort.

This past Wednesday another (this makes 6) structural engineer came to assess the needed repairs to the basement and courtyard. I have not received the report or the proposal but will keep you informed when that information becomes available to me.
